If you haven’t read about the history of Chiron in my previous post, you can click here or watch the video above. This post delves a little deeper into my own Chiron wound.
As you may have learned, Chiron in our natal chart reveals the deepest wounds we are born with to help us turn our pain into wisdom.
For example (from the previous post):
Chiron in Aries in the 1st House: Wounds around self-identity and confidence, struggling to assert oneself or feeling insecure. Healing comes through embracing individuality.
Chiron in Virgo in the 6th House: Wounds related to perfectionism, work, or health. Healing involves balancing service with self-compassion and avoiding unrealistic expectations.
Chiron in Capricorn in the 10th House: Wounds around career and authority, feeling inadequate in leadership roles. Healing comes through redefining success and embracing authentic leadership.
There are 12 houses and 12 zodiac signs, resulting in 144 unique Chiron combinations. While I won’t dive into all of them here, it’s important to remember that the house where your Chiron is placed provides the key insights you need. The sign adds another layer to the story, enriching the overall understanding.
My Chiron Wound
My Chiron happens to fall into Gemini in the 5th house. This placement reveals wounds around self-expression, communication, and creativity. I’ve often felt unseen, unheard, or unaccepted for my ideas and creative expressions. This was a harsh truth to face, but looking back at my childhood, it all made sense:
I dreaded sharing my creative work in elementary school, high school, and college because I was afraid of being judged and criticized.
I was raised to be seen and not heard, which still plays out in my adulthood.
I’ve constantly overanalyzed my creative work to ensure it’s “good enough.”
I allowed myself to feel the sadness around this, but I didn’t let it hold me back from transforming my pain into wisdom.
Before I knew about my Chiron placement, I subconsciously used my wounds to fuel creative expression. For example, writing for my high school newspaper, participating in talent shows, taking piano lessons, pursuing a degree in print journalism, and writing essays and blogs.
The icing on the cake was marrying my Leo husband, a music artist who loves creatively expressing himself (you can find his art here). Seeing him live out his creativity has healed me in ways I don’t think he’s even aware of.
He has:
Encouraged my creativity and helped me to be comfortable being seen.
Given me constructive and not hurtful feedback on my creative endeavors.
Created psychological safety to encourage me to express my needs in our relationship.
I continue to work with my Chiron by reminding myself that I am safe, not a victim, and I have the power to turn my pain into power through ongoing self-expression.
This looks like:
Surrounding myself with like-minded creatives.
Regularly journaling and allowing my thoughts and expression to be messy.
Engaging in activities unrelated to my usual work, like painting, sewing, playing an instrument, or boxing.
Breathwork and sound healing to help release blocked energy in my throat chakra and promote authentic self-expression.
My Chiron in the 5th house centers on deep inner child work, which I’m approaching through a shamanistic lens. I move through the cycle of wounded healer, shaman, and alchemist as I transform pain into personal power.
